Approximately twenty-five thousand homes in southeastern Queensland were left experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events impacted the area, producing strong winds topping 109km/h.
Massive Ice Stones and Extensive Impact
Homeowners reported substantial frozen pellets measuring up to 7 centimeters in some areas. Meteorological experts announced that different parts across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Emergency crews were focused on reestablishing electricity service throughout the affected regions, with nearly 70 crews deployed to handle the numerous electricity disruptions.
Victorian Storm Challenges
Simultaneously, around 1,000 households in Victoria also faced power outages after Melbourne saw its most precipitation in over 500 days.
State Emergency Services handled over five hundred calls for help across the state, primarily for building damage but also for downed trees and inundation.

At the height on yesterday, in excess of 28,000 energy customers in the state were experiencing outages.
Weather Forecast
Damp conditions were forecast to persist along much of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coast.
Tuesday was expected to become the most rainy day, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across various areas of both areas.

Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the northern rural areas, especially given the current weather patterns.
